An access log is a detailed list of all the files that were accessed by the guests of a given Internet site. Every single file that was requested for whatever reason shall be listed, so if you have just one page with three embedded pictures, one video and one embedded text file, for example, the access log shall contain a total of 6 entries - one for any of the 6 files that were accessed when the site visitor opened the page. A log normally provides the file name and path, the date, plus the visitor’s OS, Internet browser and IP address. Oftentimes you can also find the referrer sites that sent the visitors to your site. The info that an access log file contains is in human-readable plain text format. It could be processed by special software on a personal computer and used to prepare reports on the functionality of a website, independent of the web stats that your web hosting server may have produced.

Access Log Manager in Cloud Web Hosting

If you opt for one of our cloud web hosting solutions, you’ll receive in-depth access logs for all of your sites. After you sign in to your Hepsia CP, you can check out the Access/Error Logs section where you will see a complete list of the domain names and subdomains that you have added or created in the hosting account. You'll only have to click on the On button, that's found on the right-hand side of every hostname and our cloud platform will start generating logs at once. To disable this function, you will need to follow the same exact steps and click on the Off button. The domains and subdomains could be managed separately and anytime. You'll find a download link within the Logs section of the Control Panel for every log produced by our system, so you can save the file to your computer system and view it or use it through some log processing software.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting

Our state-of-the-art web hosting platform will create access logs for every single Internet site hosted within a semi-dedicated server account, assuming that this function is permitted. All domain names and subdomains that you have shall be listed in the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia Control Panel, which we provide with all of the accounts, so if you would like our system to start creating logs for each of them, you should just click on the small button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and change the default Off option to On. You could disable this feature whenever you want by following the exact same steps. You can find a Download link for each log in the very same section of the Control Panel, so you will be able to save the content generated by our system in .txt format with simply a click. An existing log file may be downloaded even after the feature has been deactivated, so you'll still be able to view the data which has already been generated.
